MTD Checker is a free eligibility check. It is operated by Gary Lea, St. Lukes Drive, Orrell, Wigan, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom.

Figures you type

The quiz runs in your browser. The pounds you type are used to show a result on that page. They are not sent to a server, not written into a database, and not put in the web address. Close the tab, or press Start again, and they are gone. We do not ask for a Government Gateway login, a National Insurance number, or a UTR.

If you ask for the checklist

The email box is optional. If you tick consent, the form sends three things only: your email address, the result label (likely in, check this, or likely out), and the fact you agreed. It does not send the income figures. On the live site, Netlify stores that form submission so Gary Lea can email the checklist. You can ask for the address to be deleted by writing to help@mtdchecker.com.

A local preview of the site cannot deliver that form. The checklist is always on the result page, and you can copy it without giving an email address.

What we will not do with an email

Consent to the checklist is not consent to a software advert. Affiliate links are not switched on. If that ever changes, the page will say so before a link that pays a commission.
